When it was presented at the International Motor Sports Show in New York in 1954, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was considered the fastest sports car of its time, reaching top speeds of up to 260 km/h. With its gullwing doors, direct petrol injection and its tubular space frame, the 300 SL has a recognition value like no other vehicle.
